Financial services firm names director

SARASOTA — Sarasota-based Allegiant Private Advisors promoted Carl Watkins to wealth adviser director and principal.

Watkins has worked in the financial services industry since 2007, according to a press release. He joined Allegiant in 2014 as a certified financial planner. He's also a certified divorce financial analyst and holds an Accredited Investment Fiduciary designation.

The firm also hired Melissa Walsh as a wealth adviser. According to a press release, her experience in the financial services industry began in 2008. She holds a Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is pursuing Certified Financial Planner certification.

Allegiant Private Advisors President Marty Kossoff says in a statement, “Melissa has proven herself in this field for 10 years, while Carl deserves this promotion and appointment to Principal as he is an incredible asset to our client families and internal team since joining Allegiant several years ago.”
