Builder announces record sales in 2017

SARASOTA — Sarasota-based semi-custom builder Medallion Home announced $106 million in home and lot sales in 2017, the highest sales in the company's 34-year history, according to a press release.

Medallion sold 215 homes in 2017. Its top three communities for sales were University Village with 57 home sales, Lakes of Mount Dora with 49 homes and Cross Creek with 35 homes.

The builder has communities in Sarasota, Bradenton, Parrish and Mount Dora. In 2018, it plans to begin sales in three new communities — Aqua by the Bay in Bradenton, The Reserve at Twin Lakes in Parrish and Hampton Lakes in Sarasota.
