NAPLES — Exec Air, a Naples-based charter service, is starting the new year with new nonstop routes from its Naples base: one route is to Punta Gorda Airport in Charlotte County and a another route is to Orlando International Airport.

The new flights are in addition to existing charter services from Exec Air, including scheduled direct flights to and from Key West and Marathon and more recently, Miami, which was added in January 2017. The company also offers full charter services for on-demand flights from local airports throughout the continental United States, according to a statement.

Exec Air recently added a twin engine Cessna 310 to its fleet, which allows for faster and smoother flights to farther destinations, the release adds. “Throughout our 20 years of being in the business of flying clients around the country we have continued to look for ways to grow and add new services for our clients,” Exec Air President John Swasey says in the statement.

Tickets are on sale now, the airline says. Prices start at $179 for a one-way ticket from Naples to Punta Gorda and $200 round-trip. While Punta Gorda is 66 miles from Naples, an hour drive, Exec Air added the route per requests of current customers, a company spokeswoman says. The Naples-Punta Gorda route, she says, allows fliers to take advantage of the Allegiant Air routes available at Punta Gorda Airport. The Naples-Punta Gorda flight is 30 minutes.

Exec Air was founded in 1996 and provides air travel from Naples, Immokalee, Marco Island, Fort Myers, and La Belle. The company specializes in small single engine aircraft.
