Lawyer suspended for fleeing police

LAKEWOOD RANCH — The Florida Supreme Court recently disciplined a Lakewood Ranch attorney.

According to a press release from The Florida Bar, Terra Carroll was suspended until further order, effective 30 days from a Jan. 23 court order.

The release says Carroll was found guilty in court of fleeing and eluding a police officer, which is a felony, and resisting an officer without violence, which is a misdemeanor. She was admitted to practice in 2008. According to her website, Carroll opened her own practice, focusing on criminal trials and appeals, after working for the Public Defender's office. He office is on State Road 70

As an arm of the Florida Supreme Court, The Florida Bar and its Department of Lawyer Regulation are charged with administering a statewide disciplinary system to enforce Supreme Court rules of professional conduct for members of The Florida Bar.
