CLEARWATER — Chad Steinorth has returned to Nicholas Financial Inc., a publicly traded specialty consumer finance company, as vice president and interim CFO.

According to a press release, Steinorth, a CPA, previously worked at Clearwater-based Nicholas Financial from 1993 to 2006, during which time he held a variety of leadership positions, including controller and vice president of finance. He left the firm to establish an auto finance company, which he sold in 2016.

“We are extremely excited to have Chad rejoin our great company,” states Nicholas Financial president and CEO Doug Marohn in the release. “Chad has a unique blend of skills and talents that we feel make him a great fit here at Nicholas. He was a major part of the management team when Nicholas enjoyed some of its greatest success.”

According to the release, Nicholas Financial intends to complete a search for a permanent CFO. Once that replacement is named and installed, Steinorth will remain with the company and assist with special projects and initiatives.
