Live Nation Entertainment has appointed Neil Jacobsen president of its Tampa/Orlando concerts division.

Jacobsen has been with Los Angeles-based Live Nation, a leading promoter of concerts and other live entertainment, for four decades, according to a press release. He has also been appointed to the newly created role of COO of Florida operations for the firm. In that position, he will oversee development opportunities and long-term business planning throughout the Sunshine State.

Jacobsen, the release states, will report directly to Bob Roux, Live Nation’s president of U.S. concerts; he will be based at the company’s Boca Raton office until the new Tampa/St. Petersburg office opens in 2019.

Live Nation also announced the promotion of Brittany Flores, who joined the company in 2012 and worked under Jacobsen, to president of its Miami concerts division.

“As the market leader, we’ve seen incredible growth in Florida over the past several years,” Roux states in the release. “With Brittany and Neil at the helm, we are positioned to maximize the opportunities across this key region and bring more live music to Florida than ever before.”
