TAMPA — Florida Hospital and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers unveiled a new name and logo for the NFL team’s training facility and business offices, which will be known as AdventHealth Training Center.

Florida Hospital, which operates 28 hospitals in Florida, is in the process of changing its name to AdventHealth to better reflect its affiliation with parent company Adventist Health System.

The 10-year naming-rights deal adds to an agreement struck six years ago that made Florida Hospital the exclusive hospital partner of the Buccaneers, according to a statement. The AdventHealth name and logo will be featured throughout the team’s 135,000-square-foot Tampa headquarters, which includes a new air-conditioned indoor practice facility, three outdoor practice fields, as well as player areas and administrative offices.

According to the press release, Florida Hospital and the Bucs also plan to develop a series of educational health and wellness videos pairing Florida Hospital and team experts to address topics such as nutrition and diet, staying hydrated, proper stretching and how to prevent sports injuries.

“We want to make a meaningful difference and lasting impact in the health and wellness of this community and this partnership bolsters the strength and ability we have to do that,” states Mike Schultz, president and CEO of Adventist Health System’s west Florida division, in the release. “We are not only investing in the health and wellbeing of our professional athletes, we are investing in and inspiring the next generation. We believe it’s vital for our young people to have a healthy future.”

Buccaneers owner and co-chairman Bryan Glazer adds, “We take pride in having world-class training facilities and business headquarters and we are equally thrilled to align ourselves with an industry leader such as AdventHealth.”
