ESTERO — More homes are coming to the area around Florida Gulf Coast University in the Fort Myers-Estero area. Lennar is developing WildBlue, a 3,000-acre master-planned, gated community of approximately 1,000 homes to be built by Lennar, Pulte, Stock Development and WCI Communities.
The site is just east of the FCGU campus, a development catalyst that is already surrounded by the toney Miramar Lakes neighborhood to the north and west with more mixed use development to Corkscrew Road a couple of miles to the south.
"With its lakefront lifestyle and striking natural landscaping, future WildBlue residents will enjoy the winning combination of new home designs and a thriving, amenity-rich environment," says Darin McMurray, southwest Florida division president for Lennar, in a statement.”
They’ll also enjoy close proximity to shopping and dining with Gulf Coast Town Center, Miramar Outlets and Coconut Point all nearby. Builders will enjoy a robust housing market around the FGCU campus. Just across Corkscrew Road are the The Preserve at Corkscrew, Bella Terra and Corkscrew Shores developments.
WildBlue will be built among 872 acres of lakes and 1,329 acres of surrounding preserve. Multiple neighborhoods will provide a range of product lines. Lennar will offer homes from 1,800 to 3,800 square feet with prices from $400,000s to $700,000s. WCI will build homes from 2,000 to 4,000 square feet priced from $400,000 to more than $1 million. Pulte’s homes are from 1,671 to 3,900 square feet priced from the $400,000s to more than $1 million. Stock’s offerings will be from 2,500 to more than 4,000 square feet priced from $600,000s to more than $4 million.
“Sales and models for the Lennar-branded product are anticipated to be in early 2019,” Lennar Director of Sales and Marketing David Meyers tells Coffee Talk. “We are excited to have this great offering coming to the community of Estero.”
