Don’t be surprised if Bromley Cos. taps Raleigh, N.C.-based Concord Hospitality Enterprises to be the lodging developer for its $500 Midtown Tampa mixed-use project.

Concord Hospitality would join New York-based Bromley, Crescent Communities and Casto Southeast Realty Services in developing a 1.8 million-square-foot project on 22 acres, at Interstate 275 and Dale N. Mabry Highway.

Of the total, Midtown Tampa is slated to contain 750,000 square feet of office space, 240,000 square feet of retail space and 400 apartments. Concord Hospitality would develop a 225-room, upscale boutique hotel.

Bromley representatives did not return an email seeking comment, and Concord Hospitality declined to comment.

A company spokeswoman says “negotiations are still underway surrounding this.”

Concord Hospitality already has a presence in Florida and Tampa, according to its website.

In Florida, the company owns or operates 16 lodging properties, in Clearwater, Brandon, Lutz, Orlando, West Palm Beach and Miami, to name a few.

Its flags include Residence Inn by Marriott; Courtyard by Marriott; Hampton Inn & Suites; Hyatt Place; and Hyatt Centric, its website states.

In all, the company operates roughly 100 hotels in 21 states.

Bromley and its partners hope to deliver the bulk of Midtown Tampa in early 2021.
