VENICE — Gulf Coast Community Foundation has named CPA Christine Stobaugh as its new CFO.
According to a press release, Stobaugh began her new position on Aug. 13.
Stobaugh has experience in corporate finance and accounting. Most recently, she was CFO of Grain Management for eight years. Grain Management is a private equity firm focused on the communications sector with $750 million in assets under management.
“Chris is extremely focused, compellingly humble and highly entrepreneurial,” says Gulf Coast Community Foundation President and CEO Mark Pritchett in a statement. “She fits well in our culture of innovative philanthropy and service-driven stewardship at Gulf Coast.”
Stobaugh also currently operates a food truck in the Sarasota-Bradenton area that provides capital for a nonprofit mobile eatery she runs to deliver meals to residents in need.
Gulf Coast Community Foundation was created in 1995 through the sale of the Venice Hospital. Since then, its become the philanthropic home of more than 700 families. It has invested $300 million in grants in the areas of health and human services, civic and economic development, education, arts and culture, and the environment.
