Contractor begins construction of zoo medical facility

NAPLES — Gates Construction has begun building a new animal hospital at Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens. Named the Glass Animal Hospital in honor of its primary benefactors, Denny and Tanya Glass, the new single-story, 9,144-square-foot facility will feature a surgical suite, treatment room, hospitalization rooms, necropsy room, diagnostic lab, pharmacy, ICU and hospitalization holding areas, outdoor run area and administrative space. 

Construction is scheduled for completion winter 2019. Design services are provided by Architects Unlimited.
