ST. PETERSBURG — The Ocala/Marion County Visitors and Convention Bureau named St. Paradise Advertising & Marketing its new agency of record.

The St. Petersburg-based agency, which specializes in tourism and destination marketing, will play a vital role in shaping the brand of Ocala and Marion County, which dubs itself the “Horse Capital of the World."

According to a press release, the 10-year deal will see Paradise highlight the area’s unique natural wonders and small-town charms.

“We are excited to be selected by Ocala/Marion County to drive tourism and achieve results for their destination,” Paradise CEO Barbara Emener Karasek states in the release. “Creating value, connecting with people and embedding the region’s diverse offerings into the hearts and minds of potential visitors is a responsibility we take very seriously, and we can’t wait to tell Ocala/Marion County’s story.”

The agency’s first promotional campaign for the destination launched in early June. It was followed by a consumer activation event in Orlando July 4, the release states.
