TAMPA — The Bank of Tampa opened a full-service banking office in Clearwater at 900 S. Fort Harrison Ave.

The new location represents the community bank’s third full-service branch in Pinellas County, and the second the bank has opened in Pinellas over the past two years.

"As a community bank, our primary goal is to meet the needs of our community,” states Bank of Tampa president and CEO Bill West in a press release. "When we invest in a community by building an office, we're all in, and we look forward to becoming an integral part of the Clearwater community over the coming months."

The Clearwater branch will be led by Bank of Tampa Pinellas County market director Craig West, according to the release.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. May 3. The bank also plans to open a new banking office in downtown Sarasota in May, the release states, which will bring its total number of branches to 11.
