Medical school creates new role, promotes three staffers

Ultimate Medical Academy faculty members will oversee degree programs at the Tampa institution.

TAMPA — Ultimate Medical Academy recently promoted three faculty members to the newly created role of dean of programs and academic affairs.

Under the oversight of UMA vice provost of programs and academic affairs Julene Robinson, Carrie Morris, Jenna Sage and Daniela Simic will be tasked with improving student achievement, program health, curriculum viability and instructor performance in various degree programs offered by the Tampa-based institution.

“UMA continues to invest in our people and processes to help ensure that we are doing all we can to deliver successful programs to our students in Florida and across the nation who are pursuing higher education and careers in healthcare,” Robinson states in a press release about the promotions.  

Morris will oversee UMA’s general education faculty and the management of faculty affairs.

Sage will oversee UMA’s health care management, health and human services, health care technology and systems diploma and degree programs, as well as the management of student affairs.

Simic will oversee UMA’s medical administrative assistant, medical billing and coding, medical office and billing specialist diploma and degree programs, as well as the pharmacy technician associate degree programs.
