Nonprofit names new leader

VENICE — Loveland Center in Venice hired Patrick Guerin III as CEO.

The nonprofit provides educational, vocational and residential programs for people with intellectual and development disabilities. Guerin starts at Loveland today.

According to a press release, Guerin has over 25 years of experience in the human services industry. He was vice president of residential services at Suburban Adult Services Inc., an agency in the New York area that supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. At Suburban Adult Services, he oversaw residential habilitation services in its community residences, managing 700 staff members and a budget over $28 million.

Before his work at Suburban, he also held several roles in human services in senior management positions focusing on program development and expansion.

“Patrick's experience in leadership, operations, regulations and residential support aligns perfectly with the needs of Loveland Center,” says Loveland Center board chair Debbie LaPinska in a statement. “We look forward to Patrick's leadership and contribution to our students, residents, families and community partners.”
