Bank expands footprint with mortgage office

SARASOTA — City National Bank, headquartered in Miami, will open a residential lending office in Sarasota.

According to a press release, Joe Adamaitis will spearhead efforts in the market as vice president and residential lending market manager. He has more than 37 years of residential loan and banking experience. Most recently, he was vice president and regional manager for Sabadell United Bank in Sarasota.

Adamaitis is a past president of the Gulf Coast Mortgage Bankers organization. He is also the founder and a member of The Mortgage Alliance Group of Southwest Florida.

“We are delighted to enter the Sarasota market, and have hired a top level mortgage banker to lead our residential mortgage efforts there,” says City National Bank President and CEO Jorge Gonzalez in a statement.

Russell Robbins and Karyn McCann also joined the new Sarasota mortgage office. Robbins is a mortgage banker with experience as the senior residential lender for Insignia Bank and residential lender for SunTrust Bank, Bank of America and BancBoston Mortgage. McCann is a residential loan processor with experience as a loan processor with Sabadell United Bank, Insignia Bank and SunTrust Mortgage.

The Sarasota City National Bank office is the first of several mortgage offices planned throughout the state. The bank also anticipates new locations in Tampa, Orlando and Naples.

City National Bank has more than $8 billion in assets, according to a statement. It is a subsidiary of Chilean bank Banco de Credito e Inversiones.
