NAPLES — Conditioned Air named Mark Black general manager of the company's northern division, which covers Sarasota, Manatee and Charlotte counties.

Black will oversee the service department, replacement department and production housing department, while developing the new construction department, according to a statement. Black joined Conditioned Air in January 2012 as an estimator and was later promoted to estimating manager. He has more than 25 years of industry experience, the release adds.

Naples-based Conditioned Air expanded into Sarasota, Manatee and Charlotte counties in June 2011, mostly to serve existing clients in those markets. The company now has nearly 45 employees in the market, and grew sales 21% to 22% last year, according to the statement.

“We are proud of our growth in these markets and anticipate further expansion in the area,” says Conditioned Air CEO Theo Etzel says in the release. “Future growth will come organically from serving new and existing clients as well as potential acquisitions of other air conditioning and heating companies which share a similar corporate culture.”

Conditioned Air was founded in 1962. It has more than 340 employees in Collier, Lee, Charlotte, Sarasota and Manatee counties, and had $47 million in sales last year.
