LAKEWOOD RANCH — Southwest Florida homebuilder Neal Communities sold 121 homes in August, its all-time highest monthly sales record, according to a press release.
So far in 2017, the company has sold 846 homes. Neal sold 110 homes in May, 116 homes in June and 85 homes in July.
A press release attributes the higher sales in August to “heavy homebuyer traffic” and “several new communities and model grand openings.” Neal opened eight new models at the Grand Palm community in Venice in July.
“August, which is typically a slower month for sales, was our eighth best month in 2016,” says Neal Communities President Michael Storey in a statement. “For this August's sales to eclipse all monthly sales numbers in the history of our company is an enormous testament to our professional, talented team and our company's ability to continually and nimbly adjust to market demands.”
Storey also says lower inventory in the resale market helped the company propel sales.
Neal Communities has built over 12,000 homes in Southwest Florida.
