On the road again

Signs of pink pop everywhere in October, from NFL stadiums to elementary schools, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

But at Sarasota-based precast concrete structures firm Atlantic TNG, the pink hits the road. That comes in the form of pink ribbons painted on dozens of its structures, which are then loaded on flatbed trucks for delivery to clients from Orlando through Naples. The company decorated its products with pink ribbons last year, too.

The ribbons stand out on what can otherwise be standard underground concrete structures, say company officials. Atlantic TNG, with $16 million in sales in 2016, makes sanitary manholes, grease traps and wet wells, among other products.

“They look really cool going down the road,” Atlantic TNG owner and General Manager Megan Kitchner tells Coffee Talk. “We have gotten all kinds of positive feedback.”
