NAPLES — A Naples Area Board of Realtors report says 685 homes were sold in August, up 5% from August 2016.
The report tracks home listing and sales in Collier County, excluding Marco Island.
"This turned out to be a great summer for sales in Naples," says Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Florida Realty Managing Broker Brenda Fioretti in a statement.
Pending sales for single-family homes in south Naples increased 75% and closed sales increased 42%. The condominium market had a 13% increase in pending sales. According to Fioretti, summer's sales activity outpaced last year's sales because of renewed consumer confidence.
The report says the overall median closed price for August was $328,000, a 2% increase over August 2016. The median closed price for single-family homes was $422,000, an increase of 10%. The jump was attributed to 17 sales in the $2 million and above market.
