TAMPA — Greystone Healthcare Management appointed Melissa Purvis chief nursing officer of its network of skilled nursing facilities.
Purvis joins the Tampa-based executive team that oversees the operations of 27 locations in Florida and eight in Ohio. In her new role, she will oversee all nursing initiatives for the organization's clinical programs.
According to a press release, Purvis has nearly 30 years of experience working in post-acute skilled nursing, primarily as a clinical leader. Her resume also includes experience opening skilled nursing facilities — guiding them through the pre-construction phase to operation in both the nonprofit and for-profit sectors.
“I am exceptionally excited for the future of Greystone Health Network with Melissa Purvis serving on the executive team,” says Greystone Healthcare Management CEO Connie Bessler in the statement. “Her knowledge and expertise paired with her enthusiasm and strong leadership will surely serve her well in this role.”
According to the release, Purvis served as a director of nursing and a licensed nursing home administrator in facilities ranging from 60 to 400 beds in several different states.
Most recently, Purvis worked for three years as a national director of clinical practice for a 25,000-bed skilled nursing portfolio.
