LAND O'LAKES — Newland Communities appointed Aaron Baker vice president of operations for Bexley, its master-planned community in Pasco County.

According to a press release, Baker will oversee the community's day-to-day operations and provide leadership in all areas, including finance, development and strategy.

He arrives at Bexley following a stint as director of finance and accounting in Newland Communities' east region, headquartered in Charlotte, N.C. In that capacity, he was involved in project management and development for the company's Mid-Atlantic communities.

“I'm extremely excited for this new opportunity in the Tampa Bay area,” says Baker in a statement. “It provides me the chance to fully engage in the operations side of the business and diversify my experience within a new market. Bexley is already a fantastic community, so taking this position was very attractive from a project perspective.”

During his five-year tenure with Newland, Baker helped secure approximately $155 million in land acquisitions for the company.

“Aaron brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to this new role,” says Alex McLeod, senior vice president and Tampa Bay division manager for Newland Communities, in the release. “We know that he will help ensure Bexley's continued success.”

In the Tampa Bay region, Newland also developed the FishHawk Ranch, Waterset, MiraBay and Westchase communities.
