Global law firm grows local office with new hire

TAMPA — Vitaliy Kats has joined the Tampa office of Greenberg Traurig, P.A., as an associate in the firm's appellate practice.

Kats, a graduate of the University of Florida Levin College of Law, served as law clerk to Judge John Badalamenti, of the Florida Second District Court of Appeal, prior to joining Greenberg Traurig.

His background also includes an internship at the Florida attorney general's Miami office, where he worked on cases in the area of multi-circuit mortgage fraud and pharmaceutical adulteration under Florida's Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act.

Greenberg Traurig employs more than 2,000 attorneys in 38 offices in the United States, Latin America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
