Construction firm hires senior project manager

SARASOTA — James Pastor joined Sarasota-based Atlas Building Co. as senior project manager.

He will assist Atlas with its portfolio of commercial projects. According to a press release, Pastor's recent project management experience includes the 40,000-square-foot Manatee School for the Arts and two FedEx office and warehouse distribution centers. He has worked in the public and private sectors.

Pastor began his career as an apprentice out of high school and was promoted to a variety of positions within the industry, including project superintendent, project manager, estimator, project executive and vice president of preconstruction services.

Atlas is a full-service construction firm handling public and private commercial projects in the Gulf Coast area.
