Iberia Bank has hired John Cathcart, a 20-year veteran of the financial industry, as a vice president.

In his new role as business banking relationship manager for the Tampa Bay area, Cathcart will work with small- to medium-sized businesses to provide “integrated financial solutions for their credit and deposit needs,” the bank says.

A native of St. Petersburg, Cathcart owned and operated his own small business in the city before transitioning into banking. Cathcart will work both the Pinellas and Hillsborough county markets from the bank's offices at 3100 Tampa Road, in Oldsmar.

Iberia operates more than 200 bank branches and loan production offices in Florida, Arkansas, Alabama, Louisiana, Georgia, South Carolina, Texas and Tennessee.

The company also maintains nearly 90 title insurance and mortgage representative locations in Arkansas, Louisiana and other states.
