Commercial real estate brokerage firm Colliers International Florida has promoted a pair of Tampa-based professionals to enhanced leadership roles within the company.
Ryan Kratz, president of Colliers International Tampa Bay, Central & Southwest Florida operations, will assume that same role statewide, the company says. At the same time, John K. Scott will direct asset and property management throughout Florida as managing director.
Kratz, who joined Colliers in 2010, will oversee 140 brokers and 40 marketing and technical employees in his new job, and oversee brokerage operations, develop business strategies, expand operations and direct marketing efforts. Since joining the firm, Colliers' revenue in the region has grown by 100%, and the number of agents has risen by 45%.
“Colliers has been acquiring affiliates for the past 20 or 30 years or so,” Kratz says. “And beginning in late 2014, the company began buying affiliates in Florida, starting with Miami and Palm Beach. It owns roughly 95% of its affiliates now, and it'll make it a lot easier for clients to do business with us now.”
Scott will be in charge of 190 office, industrial and retail properties comprising 19 million square feet of space, and 87 managers and support personnel. Since joining Colliers in 2012, the firm's property management portfolio has grown from 7 million square feet to 12 million square feet.
“I'm anticipating that this will help us with recruiting talent and to provide service to institutional and other clients,” Kratz says.
