ST. PETERSBURG — The Vinoy Renaissance Resort and Golf Club has broken ground on a marina-front restaurant dubbed Paul's Landing.

The groundbreaking marks the beginning of phase two of a multi-year redevelopment for the resort that focuses on leisure and fitness facilities, according to a press release.

The restaurant will serve Florida-inspired cuisine and open in winter 2017. The restaurant shares the same name as the resort's signature craft brew developed by St. Petersburg's 3 Daughters Brewing. Carpenter William Paul began construction on a settlement on the Vinoy property over 150 years ago and named it Paul's Landing.

“We are thrilled to participate in the opening of this waterfront restaurant with a craft beer that celebrates the story of Paul's Landing,” says 3 Daughters Brewing CEO Mike Harting in a statement. “In addition to paying tribute to the city's history, we are beyond proud to partner with this landmark hotel on their newest venture.”

Paul's Landing will have a chef-driven menu with locally sourced seafood and globally inspired ingredients. Indoor and outdoor areas will seat 200 guests combined.
