LAKEWOOD RANCH — Neal Communities, one of the more prolific builders in the region, had its best month of 2017 in May, with 110 new home sales.
That brings the total sales for the year to 524, according to a statement. The May tally is also up more than 50% over May 2016, the statement adds.
“National indicators show this is one of the most competitive, fastest-moving spring housing markets in decades," says Neal Communities President Michael Storey. “According to Realtor.com, the median days on market for homes in May was the lowest since the end of the recession, inventory levels are historically low and homes are selling 8% faster than this time last year. That creates a great environment for us, with our continued focus on building homes available for immediate occupancy, great community locations and diverse choices in home size and price.”
The builder's Silverleaf community in Parrish, north Manatee County, was the top-seller in May with 15 sales. Grand Palm in Venice had 12 sales; the Ridge at Crossing Creek in Bradenton had 10 sales; and Milano in Venice also had 10 sales.
