General Services Corp., a Richmond, Va., company that owns multiple apartment complexes from Largo to Bradenton, has acquired the 360-unit Hamlin at Lake Brandon complex for $60 million, according to Hillsborough County property records.

In all, the company now owns nine communities, in Brandon, Bradenton, Largo, Tampa and Clearwater.

GSC officials did not return telephone calls for comment on the acquisition or future plans for the complex.

GSC also owns the Westbury at Lake Brandon, in Brandon. The majority of its Gulf Coast portfolio, however, is centered in Bradenton, where it owns four complexes, according to the company's website.

Rents at the 14-year-old complex, at 1508 Ladora Drive, range from $1,010 monthly to $1,545 per month, according to Apartments.com.
