ST. PETERSBURG — St. Petersburg-based craft beer brewery 3 Daughters Brewing was named a finalist for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Dream Big Small Business of the Year Awards.

Craft beer from 3 Daughters Brewing is sold at restaurants, bars and grocery stores in Florida, Georgia and the Bahamas, according to the company's website. The brewery's tasting room has over 60 craft beer recipes on tap.

The small business awards celebrate the achievements of small businesses and honors small businesses' contributions to America's economic growth, according to a press release.

“These finalists and their small businesses strengthen their communities and local economies,” says U.S. Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Thomas Donohue in a statement. “The Chamber is proud to honor these outstanding companies, which together represent what's possible in our free enterprise system. They are a reminder that there is nothing small about small business.”

Finalists were also entered into an online ballot for the Community Excellence Award, which recognizes a small business that has demonstrated leadership and community engagement. Voting is online through July 31.

According to a statement, finalists this year for the Small Business of the Year Awards were selected from a record number of applicants. Award winners will be announced Sept. 12 during the 2017 Small Business Summit.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce represents more than three million businesses as well as state and local chambers and industry associations.
