TAMPA — CleanSlate Centers has opened a new opioid addiction treatment facility in Tampa.

The outpatient facility is at 5917 Webb Rd., and is the firm's first in Florida. It began seeing patients June 19.

CleanSlate is a multi-state network of physician-led outpatient addiction treatment centers. It provides treatment primarily for opioid and alcohol use.

“The need for a better approach to managing this disease and increasing access is the reason CleanSlate was founded, and we are pleased to now be able to offer hope for more people in Florida,” says CleanSlate Centers President and CEO Greg Marotta in a statement.

CleanSlate was founded in 2009. According to a press release, it has treated more than 14,000 patients in some of the states hardest hit by the opioid epidemic — Indiana, Massachusetts and Pennsylvania.
