PALM HARBOR — Shipping and third-party logistics firm FreightCenter seeks to hire up to 40 new employees.

The positions are in sales and customers service, according to a statement. The company is scheduled to host a career fair July 29 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at its U.S. 19 location in Palm Harbor to pre-screen candidates, the release adds.

FreightCenter was founded in 1998. The company has about 130 employees and did $29.5 million in sales in 2016.

“We are growing now more than ever to prepare for 20 years in business, and right now is the perfect time to hire and train our new team members for their ultimate success by the beginning of next year,” says Amber Thornhill, FreightCenter human resources manager. “We've made awesome changes to our culture and commission structure to attract motivated job seekers from Pinellas, Hillsborough and Pasco counties. We encourage candidates to apply online before the fair to be considered for an earlier interview.”
