DM Constructors LLC and Kast Construction have formed a joint venture to take advantage of “major synergies” they share in the senior living, healthcare, performing arts, multifamily and lodging sectors.

Kast, a West Palm Beach construction management firm that is affiliated with developer The Kolter Group, is currently building the $200 million, twin-towered Vue Sarasota Bay and Westin Hotel; the 41-story One St. Petersburg residential and hotel tower; and The Mark, a mixed-use retail, office and residential project in downtown Sarasota — all Kolter projects.

DM has completed more than 100 healthcare-related, senior living and other projects.

“Kast and DM have very similar cultures and philosophies about exceptional customer service, and delivering our services through a network of incredible employees,” says Mike Neal, Kast's CEO.

Together, the new firm hopes to provide existing clients with enhanced technology and efficient construction methods, and expand geographically throughout the Southeastern U.S.

“This joint venture will allow our two firms to combine the resources of two great established companies with over 300 employees and three offices,” says DM President Chuck Evans.
“We will have unlimited bonding capabilities and be able to provide services to our clients in a more efficient manner with significantly more resources.”
