TAMPA — Axiom Bank, a $634.2 million-asset institution based in central Florida, named Jonathan Hawryschuk vice president and regional manager for its west Florida unit.

Hawryschuk will oversee sales performance, customer experience and community development for branches in the Tampa Bay area and Lakeland regions, according to a statement. Hawryschuk joins Axiom from Woodforest National Bank, where he served as a regional manager in New York. His roles there included developing strategies to generate growth and profitability for in-store branch locations in Wal-Mart Supercenters statewide, the release adds. Hawryschuk has more than 15 years' banking experience.

“Jonathan's extensive expertise in the banking industry positions him as a valuable member of our team as we continue to grow in the Tampa Bay area,” Axiom President and CEO Dan Davis says. “He will help us develop and implement regional sales goals, performance objectives and business plans.”

Maitland-based Axiom has 21 branches, spread from Jacksonville to two in the Sarasota-Bradenton market.
