BTI Partners has unveiled plans to develop a 16-story condominium tower within its 52-acre Westshore Marina District project in South Tampa.

Marina Pointe will contain 112 condo units, seven townhomes, 10,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space and overlook a planned 150-slip marina.

Units in Marina Pointe, which will be marketed by residential brokerage Smith & Associates Real Estate, will sell from $600,000, and penthouse units will start at $1.5 million.

The building is being designed by Miami-based Kobi Karp Architecture Interior.

Fort Lauderdale-based BTI, the master developer of the $600 million project, expects to begin construction on the tower next year and complete it in 2020.

“Marina Pointe offers an extraordinary opportunity to keep a boat at your doorstep and be within walking distance of a great selection of restaurants, shops, trails and other amenities,” says Beck Daniel, the BTI executive vice president overseeing Westshore Marina District.

The condos mark BTI's fourth announced development, on the heels of planned apartments and townhomes.

In all, the company has sold or contracted to sell 32.35 acres to Bainbridge Cos., Related Group and WCI Communities for $39.5 million, records show.

Those deals are expected to result in nearly 750 apartments and 35 townhomes, and WCI likely will build additional residences there.
