Developer opens 160-unit senior living complex

BONITA SPRINGS — Diamond Oaks Village, a luxury senior living community in Bonita Springs, is set to open Tuesday.

State and local legislators are among the officials invited to the grand opening event, according to a statement. Tours will be given as well.

Construction for community began shortly after the United Group of Cos., a Troy, N.Y.-based real estate development firm, began demolition on the property in November 2015. The community has 160 one-and-two-bedroom apartments that include private screened in lanais; personal washer and dryer units; and covered parking spots. The complex has several unique features, including a fenced dog park, a putting green, a modern fitness center, deluxe hair salon, a heated community pool and spa, and a bocce court.

Diamond Oaks Village, for adults 55 and older, is actively signing leases for apartments and townhomes. The complex is at 24110 South Tamiami Trail.
