As part of its year-long celebration of its silver anniversary, Eshenbaugh Land Co. is traveling down memory lane through a series of 25 video remembrances of past deals.

In its first video, released earlier this month, founder Bill Eshenbaugh recalls the work the firm did on behalf of Heidt & Associates a dozen years ago.

At the time, Heidt had an offer of $8 million for property it owned in the Hyde Park section of Tampa, at Howard Avenue and Swann Avenue, and asked “The Dirt Dog” for advice.

Eshenbaugh believed the land was worth more — as in, 50% more. After securing the listing from Heidt, Eshenbaugh secured a series of more lucrative offers, and eventually sold the property — today occupied by apartments — for $14 million in June 2005.

Over the course of the past quarter century, the firm has brokered more than 1,000 transactions valued in excess of $1 billion, Eshenbaugh notes.

“It's gone way beyond any vision I had,” he says of the eponymously named firm in the video.
