Construction company to start roadway widening

NAPLES — Naples-based pre-construction, earthwork and infrastructure services company EHC Inc. will start a project to widen State Road 82 in Fort Myers with AJAX Paving for the Florida Department of Transportation.

According to a press release, the project is set to begin in the coming weeks.

AJAX Paving engaged EHC to expand SR82 to six lanes from Colonial Boulevard through the Daniels Parkway intersection.

EHC is providing 580,000 cubic yards of excavation, including an off-site borrow pit, subsoil excavation, over 600,000 cubic yards of embankment and surcharge embankment, a statement says. The project is almost 4.5 miles long.
