SARASOTA — The Sarasota-Manatee Manufacturers Association, in a new partnership with The Science Center and FloridaMakes, is launching a new program aimed at improving the productivity and technological performance of Sarasota-Manatee manufacturing companies.

The services are designed to help manufacturing firms identify new opportunities for growth and bottom line cost savings, among other features, according to a statement.

The services are provided through a FloridaMakes' business advisor at the Sarasota-Manatee Manufacturers Association, working with a statewide network of professional consultants and state and national resources. FloridaMakes is part of the nationwide National Institute of Standards and Technology's Manufacturing Extension Partnership system.

The Sarasota-Manatee Manufacturers Association will be introducing the program at its monthly dinner meeting, Wednesday, April 19, at 5 p.m. at the Holiday Inn in Lakewood Ranch, 6231 Lake Osprey Drive, Sarasota.
