McKibbon Hospitality, which has been growing amid a surge of hotel development nationwide, has expanded its corporate offices in the Westshore district in Tampa.
With its new 10,000-square-foot office, McKibbon can both accommodate recent growth and prepare for future personnel additions, says company hotel management division president Randy Hassen.
“We realized two years ago we would be outgrowing our space at the time,” says Hassen of the 7,000 square feet the company previously occupied.
As part of an addition of a second floor to a retail space in Avion Park, designer HOK's Tampa office worked closely with EWI Construction, Built and CI Group on build out, office furniture and equipment.
Artist Taylor Thomas, DEX Imaging and even Buddy Brew Coffee were brought into the design and construction process, Hassen says, to make the transition to larger space as seamless as possible for the company's 40 headquarter employees.
“Everyone worked very collaboratively,” Hassen says. “The result is a very efficient layout with an open design and breakout rooms that fit well together. It's a fun place to come to work.”
