Cushman & Wakefield wins big

The Tampa office of commercial real estate brokerage firm Cushman & Wakefield cleaned up at the annual Florida Gulfcoast Commercial Association of Realtors' Pinnacle Awards late last month, with nine first place awards.

The firm's Mike Davis, who heads capital markets, took home the top investment deal of the year and “Overall Top Producer.” Davis and his team, which includes Rick Brugge and Michael Lerner, sold in excess of $1.25 billion of commercial real estate last year.

Patrick Berman, a Cushman & Wakefield senior director, won “Deal of the Year Retail” and “Overall Deal of the Year” for the $2.1 million sale of the Cypress Trade Center in Kissimmee.

Cushman & Wakefield's Julia Rettig received the “Most Transactions” award, as well as the top national industrial honor.

The firm's Jason Donald and Jessica Bradley were also recognized, with “Top Producer General Brokerage” and “Rookie of the Year” awards.

Berkshire Hathaway took home a pair of awards, including the “Henry H. Blanton Award” for professionalism, which went to Bill Roberts.

Dean Saunders of CBC Saunders Real Estate; Melanie Jackson of Colliers International; and Brian Andrus of Stonebridge Real Estate rounded out the winners from national firms.

On a regional basis, Deron Thomas of Industrial Realty Solutions; Scott Clendening of Commercial Partners Realty; Ryan Sampson of Eshenbaugh Land Co.; Lawrence Gilbert of Klein & Heuchan Inc.; and Ned Willis of Vector Commercial Real Estate Services were all named top producers.
