Goodwill Manasota Inc. hired a former Bealls executive to be its director of real estate and market development.
Priscilla Frye's experience includes site selection, lease negotiations for retail stores and project management. Frye was Bealls' real estate manager for six years, and was retail site acquisition manager and national acquisitions and transition manager with AT&T for eight years prior to joining the Bradenton-based retailer.
“With a background in corporate real estate management, Priscilla is a welcome addition to the Goodwill team,” says Bob Rosinsky, Gooodwill Manasota's president and CEO, in a statement.
He adds that effective real estate management is “crucial to maximizing our revenue.”
Goodwill Manasota operates a series of retail outlets and donation centers throughout the region that raise money through the sale of donated goods to assist people in finding jobs and with job training. The nonprofit placed 961 people in jobs and assisted more than 350 veterans in re-integrating back into the civilian workforce last year.
In all, Goodwill Manasota operates 10 retail stores from Arcadia to North Port; 17 donation centers from Ellenton to Englewood; a pair of clearance centers; and a trio of bookstores in Bradenton, Sarasota and Venice. The organization moved into a new $12 million, 65,000-square-foot headquarters at 2705 51st Ave. E, in Manatee County in 2014.
“I am proud to manage our building assets while, inside them everyday, people's lives are being changed and our community impacted for the better,” Frye says in the statement.
