Virginia-based Iron Bow Technologies intends to create 170 IT and other jobs in Hillsborough County as part of an expansion and development of a new contact center in Tampa.
Iron Bow, which provides outsourced customer service support for government, health care providers and commercial businesses, plans to open its new center in 24,000 square feet in the Woodland Corporate Center by Nov. 1.
“Tampa has a nationally renowned reputation for great customer service and information technology talent — a perfect combination of skills that will help us ramp up quickly in our new location,” says Rene LaVigne, Iron Bow's president and CEO, in a release.
The company plans to invest more than $500,000 into its new customer service center at 4502 Woodland Corporate Center Blvd., according to the news release.
It also is currently holding job fairs at the center to fill customer service representative, team leader and trainer positions, as well as jobs for support professionals.
CareerSource Tampa Bay assisted Iron Bow with job postings and workforce training grants, while the Tampa-Hillsborough County Economic Development Corp. helped the company with expedited permitting.
Based in Chantilly, Va., Iron Bow generates roughly $800 million in annual revenue, the company says.
