Burger lovers rejoice: Tampa-based Burger 21 has created a national contest where the winner gets a chance to invent a new burger with the company's top chef.

The contest, the debut Secret Cheesy Sweepstakes, is Sunday, Sept. 18 — National Cheeseburger Day. That day the chain will put a Secret Cheesy Burger on the menu. Guests who try the burger and scan their receipt on the company's Smartphone app will be entered into a drawing, according to a statement. The grand prize winner will be brought to Tampa, where he or she will meet with Corporate Chef Mike Remes. Then the pair will create a distinctive cheeseburger, which will be featured next year for a limited-time in all Burger 21 locations nationwide.

The winner will be chosen at random Sept. 19, the release states.

"National Cheeseburger Day is the perfect opportunity for us to thank and reward our guests for their loyal support over the last six years," Burger 21 President Mark Johnston says in the statement. "We are eager to debut our Secret Cheesy Burger on National Cheeseburger Day and look forward to giving one raving fan an opportunity to create a limited-time burger alongside Chef Mike.”
