SARASOTA — Icard Merrill, one of the more prominent law firms in the Sarasota-Bradenton region, is increasing its office total in Southwest Florida.

Following the expansion, the law firm will have four office locations, a statement says. The new locations will be in Port Charlotte, at 18501 Murdock Circle, No. 304, and Fort Myers, at 5237 Summerlin Commons Blvd., No. 411. Icard Merrill already has offices in Sarasota and Bradenton.

Icard Merrill also brought in two new attorneys, the statement says:
• Jessica Farrelly will work primarily from the firm's Sarasota office. She concentrates her practice on employment law and civil litigation. Farrelly has previous experience that includes a partnership at a defense litigation firm in Boston and most recently with a management-side employment boutique company in Sarasota.
• Mark Martella joins Icard Merrill as a business law attorney. He has two established law offices in Port Charlotte and Fort Myers that will operate under the Icard Merrill name. Martella's practice focuses primarily on real estate, bankruptcy, foreclosure, estate planning and condominium and homeowner representation.

Icard, Merrill, Cullis, Timm, Furen & Ginsburg P.A. was founded in Sarasota in 1953.
