ST. PETERSBURG — Anchor Insurance appointed Rads Mydam, a 20-year insurance veteran, as chief information officer.

Prior to joining Anchor, Mydam served as CIO and executive vice president of Capital Insurance Group in Monterey, Calif., a statement says. With Anchor, he will focus on daily operations and technology.

“We are focused on providing a best-in-class user experience for our agents and our policyholders,” says Anchor President John Wortman in the statement. “This means investing in the systems our customers interact with on a daily basis. With Rads' expertise and guidance, we are redesigning our platforms, infrastructure and processes to enhance ease of use and customer satisfaction at every touch point.”

Anchor Insurance provides coverage to homeowners in areas where options are limited due to losses from storms and widespread natural disasters, the statement says. It insures customers in 12 states through two carriers: Anchor Specialty Insurance Co. and Anchor Property and Casualty Insurance Co.
