SARASOTA — Home prices in North Port-Sarasota-Bradenton increased 13.5% in January 2016 compared to January 2015, according to a report from data provider CoreLogic.
That increase, which includes distressed sales, was nearly double the national increase of 6.9%, the report says. On a month-over-month basis, home prices in January in the region increased by 2.4% over December.
With a year-over-year increase of 9.1%, Florida as a whole saw the fourth highest rise among states. Washington, Colorado and Oregon took the top three spots. Mississippi and Louisiana were the only states with year-over-year decreases, according to the report.
