TAMPA — The University of South Florida elected new board leadership during its June 2 meeting.

Brian Lamb, who has served as the board's vice chair since 2014, will take over as the new chair, a statement says. As chair, Lamb will oversee board meetings and member appointments and will call any special meetings. He replaces Harold “Hal” Mullis.

Lamb, a USF alum, is the regional president for Fifth Third Bank, the statement says. He joined the bank in December 2006 as chief financial officer. He is also active in several local organizations, including the Tampa Bay Partnership, Florida Council of 100 and Enterprise Florida.

During the meeting, the USF board also elected Jordan Zimmerman to vice chair, the statement says. Zimmerman, also a USF alum, is the founder and chairman of Fort Lauderdale-based Zimmerman Advertising. He will oversee the research, innovation, engagement and job creation workgroup and will chair the compensation committee.

The University of South Florida board of trustees has 13 members. Lamb and Zimmerman will each serve two-year terms.
