TAMPA — Tampa startup Residential Acoustics, a soundproofing firm, has received a $500,000 investment through a partnership with Baldwin Beach Capital.

The funding will help Residential Acoustics scale in the residential and retail sectors and will introduce new features to their soundproofing curtain and noise-insulation product lines, a statement says.

As part of the partnership, Keenan Baldwin and Hannibal Baldwin of Baldwin Beach Capital will join Residential Acoustics board of directors. The Baldwin brothers have invested in other local firms including Fitlife Foods, Yogurtology and SiteZeus. Nick Horner of Foley & Lardner LLP will also join the board, the statement says.

Founded in 2013, Residential Acoustics has a patent for its soundproofing curtain for homes and businesses. The company recently developed a commercial acoustics division to target the property development and management markets, the statement says.
