SARASOTA — ID&C, a British-based firm that supplies radio frequency identification wristbands for festivals and events, opened its office in Sarasota.

Caleb Jones, who previously worked for festival mobile app company Aloompa in Nashville, will lead the new Sarasota office, according to a statement. The office will help the company manage event clients in the United States, which include Bonnaroo, III (3) Points festival and the ATP tour in Florida. The company has also locked in deals with the Grammys and Super Bowl, the statement adds.

The firm's RFID wristbands can be used to bring added security at festivals, sports games and other live events. Features include access control and cashless payments, according to the company's website.

ID&C supplies wristbands for more than 5,000 events each year, the statement says. It has been in business for more than 20 years.
